For me, art is about noticing things, and trying to get things noticed.

After a 6 year stint of living in London, I now live back in the West Country in Frome, Somerset. Since doing my degree in Visual Studies in 2004 at Norwich School of Art & Design, followed by a Masters in Sequential Illustration in 2007 at Brighton University, I've been making and teaching art. I am at my happiest when I'm ink pen in hand making pictures, or helping others with theirs.

My pictures often have a narrative running through, either imaginary or inspired by a story that I have heard or read. I draw on a mixture of actual and imaginary creatures as well as people from observational sketching. The vignettes/stories often convey a sense of the unusual, where humour, pathos and tenderness mingle.
